Most depictions of {{Hell}} involve some form of eternal punishment for the damned souls who are sent there. In {{Iron|y}}ic {{Hell}}, they get a more personal service. Each sinner gets a punishment that is an ironic reminder of the sins of which they are guilty. A glutton might be force-fed something unpleasant for eternity (a common version is that they're fed something they enjoyed -- ceaselessly, [[RadishCure becoming wholly sick of it]], for eternity), or might be prevented from eating ever again.

After selling his soul and murdering his brother, Strahd now spends his unlife chasing the reincarnations of Tatianna, who always are just out of reach. As an added bonus, Strand is cursed to always feel like Tatianna's deaths were because he made a mistake, and he might succeed next time. He never does. A twisted theory states that this punishment isn't Strahd's, but Tatianna's. What sin did she commit to deserve such a fate, I wonder...

* In the ''Series/KeyAndPeele'' skit "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42hLntSxUeM When the Party Don't Stop (But You Wish It Would)]]", they find themselves in a party that that goes all night long, then for two whole days, and then for an entire week. Slowly they come to realize something is wrong and turn to the other party goers for some kind of empathy or reassurance only to be met with bizarre facial expressions and seemingly aggressive dance moves. They try to find a way out only to discover that the club is a totally closed space that wraps in on itself, preventing any kind of exit or escape. They eventually agree to shoot themselves in the head in a desperate, last-ditch effort to escape, only to ''immediately'' walk right back into the party. Listening to the song's lyrics, it becomes apparent they actually died in a drunk driving accident ("drinks in the back, girls up front") while texting and playing around on their phones and ipads ("we're going to a party, sending texts, cell phone rings, iPad, Facebook, party time"). All of the other party goers are obviously either demons or homunculi; the lighting, cinematography and especially their [[https://imgur.com/a/H6DZl4U facial expressions]] and [[https://imgur.com/a/ud9gEhP strange behavior]] all hint at something very sinister about them. None of them are ever cruel or belligerent to K&P or attempt to hurt or interfere with them in any way whatsoever, but they are constantly messing with their heads and making every effort to ensure they feel completely lost and alienated.
