* ''VideoGame/StreetFighter'''s Ibuki is a rather interesting version. She is a girly girl in terms of personality but in battle her dashes are very fast and not feminine. In the III and V series she does a hop forward for her forward dash and in IV and in SFXT she has an almost Naruto esque run that she also uses in her rival cutscene against King and Marduk, however in SFV in shadowfalls when she joins Karin Ibuki does a noticeably girly run towards Karin and her butler. In other scenes of her running in Shadowfalls she does a more unisex run and it should be noted that in canon when she ran to Karin she was wearing a dress while in other times she was wearing other outfits.

* Paprika from ''Literature/{{Paprika}}'' breaks into this at multiple points in the film. [[JustifiedTrope It makes sense]], given her [[spoiler:nature as hyper-feminized libido incarnate]]. And used effectively near the end of the film: when [[spoiler:Atsuko]] transforms in Paprika to fight the [[spoiler:dream-creatures intruding into the real world]], she starts running like a normal person, then you see her running like Paprika, then you see Paprika.

* Kokona runs like this during the first ending of ''Manga/YamaNoSusume'' Season 2. It stands out even more because the other three girls, even the non-athletic Aoi, are all running like pros alongside her.

It underscores that, while Usagi's heart's in the right place, she's ''really'' green at the MagicalGirlWarrior thing. While her running in-series improves to match her growing up, the opening to Season 3 falls back to this trope.
