A rather small fellow with a voice like [[WesternAnimation/DroopyDog Droopy]]'s, he's actually the one who hires the gang to catch the MonsterOfTheWeek, who is trying to coerce the homeowners of the old house Mr. Boo haunts into selling. Because if the house is destroyed, Mr. Boo will poof out of existence.

He seems to have BigBrotherInstinct towards the daughter of the family, and makes life difficult for relatives who mistreat her.

* ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooAndTheGhoulSchool'': Phantasma, or Phanty, is one of the students at the eponymous school. A quirky organist who loves to laugh, she's as amicable as the other ghouls. And her phantom father is just as amicable...just as long as he's not playing PapaWolf.

* ''Literature/CarnivalInAFix'': The ghosts who work in the HauntedHouse are all quite friendly, only scaring people because it's their job. The most prominent one is See-Through George, who holds a stuffed penguin for most of the book.

* In the ''Literature/{{Goosebumps}}'' book "Literature/TheGhostNextDoor", the main character suspects that her neighbor is a ghost, due to the fact that he's lived next door for a while and yet she and her family don't remember anybody moving into that house, the fact that they've both been going to the same school for a while and are in the same grade yet neither knows any of the others friends and the fact that the neighbor seems to keep randomly disappearing. While he does cause trouble when he's around his friends (who pretty much coerce him into causing trouble), he is a generally good kid. But at the end, it turns out that [[spoiler:he's not a ghost, [[DeadAllAlong but the main character is]], [[LockedOutOfTheLoop having been unaware that she and her family had been dead for awhile]], and they are rather friendly for ghosts.]]

* Pretty much all of the ghosts from ''Series/GhostsUK'' are friendly, sometimes too much so for the lead character Alison - as they're usually InvisibleToNormals, even the random ones that she encounters away from the haunted house are generally just thrilled to be acknowledged for once.

* Evelyn from ''Podcast/LessIsMorgue'' is a wholesome, early-2000s ghost who wants to be friends with pretty much everyone she meets. Partly on account of the fact she can only talk to a handful of people.

*** ''VideoGame/LuigisMansion3'': Polterpup is now officially [[HeroesLoveDogs Luigi's pet]] and helps him out in various ways. Also in this game is Morty, a film director who is pretty much the only non-hostile ghost in the hotel. He makes Luigi into the star of his latest feature film and even pays him some pretty flattering compliments.

* ''Webcomic/GunnerkriggCourt'': Mort is a cheerful ghost whose job is to scare people ([[CatchPhrase It's very important, I assure you.]]) with his ShapeShifting powers. Chapter 47 reveals [[spoiler:he was a young boy who was killed in [[UsefulNotes/TheHomeFront The Blitz]] and also sees him move on to the afterlife]].

* ''Manga/GhostSweeperMikami'': Okinu is the ghost of a {{Miko}} who was sacrificed to appease a mountain god, and she's hands down the nicest character in the series. [[spoiler:Subverted later when it's revealed that her body still remains intact, and she's revived]].

* ''ComicBook/MonicasGang'': Penadinho (bug-a-boo) is a pleasant ghost who inhabits a cemetery with his [[MonsterMash friends]]. While he does enjoy scaring people a lot (though he isn't always very good at it), he only makes mischievous pranks at worst.

* In ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'', the pirate ghost haunting the library turns out to be one of these as he is mollified simply by [[https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/2004-04-03 being offered orange juice]] to treat his scurvy.
