* The Gamemakers in ''Literature/TheHungerGames'' have an incredibly dark sense of irony. Case in point: the main character has a bit of a "Fire" motif going on throughout the book, so they set a fire trap ''just for her''.

* ''Literature/{{It}}'', alias Pennywise the Dancing Clown, has a ''very'' twisted sense of humor. His jokes range from crude and sexual (and bear in mind, they're usually aimed at kids), to morbid, to mocking people's various afflictions, to describing what he did to past victims, or what he plans to do to you. This mostly carries over to the [[Film/It1990 1990]] and [[Film/It2017 2017]] adaptations.

* In ''Literature/{{Animorphs}}'':
** [[BigBad Visser Three]] can get into this. In the first book, he [[ImAHumanitarian eats Elfangor]], then makes a joke about "taking a bite" out of his enemies.
** [[RealityWarper The Drode]] as well -- he's sort of an evil [[TheTrickster Trickster Archetype]] who likes to joke with the Animorphs, but his jokes usually involve the genocides that he and his master Crayak are currently involved in.
** The Animorphs also has an interesting {{inver|tedTrope}}sion of this, as one of the main protagonists, Marco, is a SadClown whose life philosophy seems to be based on ''ComicBook/TheKillingJoke''.

* Roderick Whittle, aka UsefulNotes/JackTheRipper, from Creator/RichardLaymon's ''Literature/{{Savage}}'', has an ''extremely'' macabre sense of humor.
* In ''Literature/CarnageInNewYork'' and ''Goblin's Revenge'', both Carnage and the Goblin ''love'' cracking sadistic jokes.
* ''Literature/CatChaser'': Nolen finds Jiggs' racist complaints to be utterly hilarious and keeps exalting him as a comic genius, despite said complaints consisting mainly of racial slurs and resentment towards minorities. Moran is understandably disgusted.
* ''Literature/GodsAndWarriors'': Kreon, a member of the [[AristocratsAreEvil House of Koronos]], is amused that his clan is referred to as Crows, so he has carcasses thrown at the base of his stronghold to have actual crows infesting the place.

* ''Franchise/{{BuffyVerse}}'': [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Angelus]], best shown in ''Series/{{Angel}}'' Season 4, where he breaks his former friends apart with a few {{Hannibal Lecture}}s.

** Orks, on the other hand, favor a more lowbrow form of humor. For example, watching gretchin get killed by the dozen or setting one of their own people on fire to see them "do da burny dance" (to be fair, they'll also do that to non-orks as well).
* In ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons'', [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils Asmodeus and Demogorgon]] are noted as both having senses of humor; though they find humor in the fact that their underlings (or, in Demogorgon's case, chief rivals) are constantly plotting/fighting [[EnemyCivilWar amongst themselves instead of uniting against them.]]
* In the ''TabletopGame/{{Planescape}}'' campaign, the worst part of the Hive in Sigil is home to a mysterious predator called Kadix, who is at least part-demon. He is intelligent and has a sick sense of humor, which leads him to display the remains of his victims in humorous ways. For example, he has been known to arrange the heads of a group of bird-like humanoids so as to resemble eggs in a nest, or the skeletons of a man and a woman in an embrace.
* Myrkul in the ''TabletopGame/ForgottenRealms'' was well-known for his dark sense of humour and his love of {{irony}}, mind-games, and paradoxes. Myrkul was the NeutralEvil God of the Dead; needless to say, what amused him usually involved a body count.
* This is the entire ''raison d'être'' of Kobal, the Demon Prince of Dark Humor in ''TabletopGame/InNomine''. He himself has the sickest sense of humor in the setting (with only Haagenti, his protege, coming close), but it's more than that. Kobal's goal is to increase human suffering by replacing empathy with mockery, and making evil's sense of humor the ''norm''. He also does a sideline in opposing the Archangel of Destiny; the funniest joke is ruining the life of a person with a bright future.

* Clarence Boddicker of ''Film/RoboCop1987'' isn't above the occasional violence-based pun.

* ''WesternAnimation/BatmanBeyondReturnOfTheJoker'' has a variation; Terry taunts the Joker about his jokes being [[BoringInsult boring and repetitive]].

* Implied in ''Film/{{1408}}''. The early torments that [[GeniusLoci the room]] puts Enslin through are downright slapstick, and even later on the sheer comedic timing of some of it is too good to be an accident on the room's part. It might not have a face to laugh with, but it's obvious that it finds the whole thing to be absolutely ''hilarious.''

* Season three of ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformers'' shows that the Decepticons have a warped yet darkly amusing sense of humor and ''zero'' respect for Starscream. In ''[[Recap/TransformersG1StarscreamsGhost Starscream's Ghost]]'', Starscream is shown to have been interred in the Decepticon crypt after his demise, just as other fallen Decepticons were. Except where the honored fallen such as Megatron and even Thundercracker receive full statues, the Decepticons gave him [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:StarscreamCryptMarker1.jpg a statue of his lower legs]], which were [[SmokingShoes all that remained of him]] after Galvatron disintegrated him with a laser cannon blast to the face in ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie''.

* WesternAnimation/TheMask faces a few in his cartoon series, given a ComicallyInvincibleHero fits better against overtly serious villains.

** And then there was the "joke" in TSR, where he [[spoiler:confessed to Sōsuke that he really wanted to "fuck his dead body up the ass" back in Khanka. Sōsuke's reaction to this is, predictably, to act [[BrainBleach absolutely]] [[TooMuchInformation horrified]]. Gauron was [[EvilLaugh laughing like a maniac]] while he said it, and then told Sōsuke he was just kidding. Except right after he said that, he immediately negated it by confessing that what he said was true and serious]]. In other words, he [[MindRape loves having fun screwing around with poor Sōsuke]]. However, an especially interesting thing to note about Gauron's jokes is that pretty much all of them are actually things he truly means.

* ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'': In her [[Recap/BatmanTheAnimatedSeriesE5PrettyPoison debut episode]] Poison Ivy laughs at Batman's futile attempt to spit out her [[DruggedLipstick poison]] following their [[KissOfDeath goodnight kiss]]. Mockingly asking if he's "afraid of cooties."

* ''Fanfic/InfinityTrainSeekerOfCrocus'': Ai is at the cusp of being an AntiVillain who decides that if [[spoiler:Austen Plane decides to reveal that he brainwashed Yusaku and then hurled them both onto the Infinity Train]], he will hurt Specter -- who is now redeeming himself -- with him. At one point in a brawl against White Gestalt, one of his @Ignister monsters -- in the shape of a sword -- cleaves through half of the face of Lampetia -- a LivingStatue denizen and basically one of the few beings Specter actively cares for -- which leaves her with only one eye. He then notes that she's a "sight for sore eye". He later tells London that he doesn't want to be "disarmed" all while placing a chopping mostion to his own arm by the same sword @Ignister monster.

* ''Film/TheLordOfTheRingsTheTwoTowers'': Amongst the Uruk-hai, [[Characters/MiddleEarthFilmSauronsEvilForces Uglúk]] boisterously cracks a couple dark jokes during his screentime, when getting his men to give a prisoner some "medicine" in the form of the orcs' suspiciously red pouch water. And then of course there's his cooment when meat is back on the menu in the form of fresh orc.
