Later in ''Evolution'' She gains a new outfit that implements a NavelDeepNeckline as well.

* ''VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureHeritageForTheFuture'': Midler (or at least what we saw of her) in the [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/jjba/images/6/65/Midler_Original.png/revision/latest?cb=20140912171459 manga]] and [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/jjba/images/d/d4/Midler_Anime.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/270?cb=20140913142029 anime]] is overall tame, wearing a dress that, at most, only shows off a bit of cleavage. * The ''Franchise/BatmanArkhamSeries'' has been giving this to Harley Quinn and is a major reason why she has been getting it in other mediums as well.
** ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum'': As seen in the page image, Harley decides to don a NaughtyNurseOutfit combined with a midriff-baring corset and a top that doesn't even cover her bra. Along with a short skirt (which is the cause of many {{panty shot}}s in that game), she also has some thigh-high boots.
** ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity'': Her outfit in this game is more conservative than her first with the inclusion of pants this time around, but she still bares midriff and cleavage.
** ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamKnight'':
*** This game downplays it the most. While she now has tights under her skirt and a covered stomach, she still has a large amount of cleavage showing.
*** Completely averted in the DLC ''Batgirl: A Matter of Family''. Harley finally wears a full-body jester suit that looks like her original costume.

* ''Film/ThePhantomOfTheOpera2004'' noticeably had a lot of the cast in [[HotterAndSexier more]] [[TheissTitillationTheory revealing]] attire than [[Literature/ThePhantomOfTheOpera the book]] or [[Theatre/ThePhantomOfTheOpera Broadway musical]]. Christine in particular not only has a visible garter belt during “Music of the Night” but also frequently has ImpossiblyLowNeckline outfits, which becomes tonally confusing and anachronistic when she visits her father’s grave with her cleavage showing, not to mention [[ExposedToTheElements it’s Paris in winter]].

* ''ComicBook/SupremePower'': This continuity's Amphibian, in contrast to the Amphibian of the original ComicBook/SquadronSupreme who was a fully-clothed male, is a [[GenderFlip female]] who goes nude (helped by ''Supreme Power'' being published under Marvel's mature audiences imprint MAX). While she eventually dons a costume reluctantly in the 2006 ''Squadron Supreme'' series (and by then [[TamerAndChaster no longer has her nudity unobscured due to the change of the series being printed under Marvel proper instead of MAX]]), her costume is still way more revealing than anything her Earth-712 counterpart ever wore.

* In ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'', Raven wears a LeotardOfPower, instead of the dress she wore in the ''New Teen Titans'' comics.

* While ''Film/Catwoman2004'' is a very loose adaptation, the Catwoman outfit is considerably more revealing than its comic counterpart.

* Downplayed in ''Series/DoomPatrol2019'' with Doctor Tyme, whose costume leaves his arms bare when it included sleeves in the comics.

* ''Manga/MetroidSamusAndJoey'': [[spoiler:In the games, the most revealing Samus got was being in a bikini. Here, in the grand finale of ''Ex'', she went [[PosthumanNudism completely naked]] upon [[AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence ascending to a higher plane of existence]]]].

The trope is usually done for {{Fanservice}}, but there are examples where fanservice isn't a factor. However, these are rather rare.

* ''Series/MsMarvel2022'' has a InUniverse example with popular high schooler Zoe [[{{Cosplay}} cosplaying]] as [[ComicBook/CarolDanvers Captain Marvel]] and wearing a more revealing costume than what the MCU Carol Danvers wears at [=AvengerCon=], of which Kamala’s friend Bruno exclaims she’s being inaccurate. This is a MythologyGag, as Zoe is actually wearing a [[https://decider.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/ms-marvel-1-zoe.jpg?quality=80&strip=all&w=1284 very similar costume to what Carol wore when she was Ms. Marvel in the comics]] and it was Creator/BrieLarson who requested her character not wear any of the more revealing costumes she was previously known for and have the modest Captain Marvel suit be her default. Meaning Zoe’s cosplay comes off as tacky RuleOfSexy within universe, even though it is genuinely accurate to what Carol wore for years.

** The titular girls wear white {{stocking|Filler}}s under their dress in [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls1998 the original cartoon]]. In this anime their [[LegFocus legs are exposed]] since their MiniDressofPower is attached to their {{leotard|OfPower}}.
** Happens to Ms. Sara Bellum, already ''the'' resident MsFanservice of both shows. In the original she's wearing long-sleeved business attire, whereas in the anime she's sleeveless. She keeps the pencil skirt in both versions.
** The anime Sedusa is wearing a tube [[OfCorsetsSexy corset]] and a tutu that exposes her bare thighs, whereas the original version wears a sleeveless blouse(?) and black stockings.

* ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' has an InUniverse example with the Ember Island Players emulating the main cast [[ShowWithinAShow in a stage play adaptation of the entire show]], but in particular Katara, Toph, and Yue. The costume of the actress playing Katara lacks warming clothes despite the real one being from the show's version of Antartica. Ditto their Yue, who's wearing a ''tube dress'' despite the actual one being from the North Pole. Their version of Toph is [[GenderFlip gender-flipped]] into TheBigGuy, so he's wearing a {{sleeve|sAreForWimps}}-less shirt (instead of the original's looser, quarter-sleeved shirt) to be manly.

* ''Manga/FlameOfRecca'': Yanagi Sakoshita initially kept her clothes after getting kidnapped in the original manga before Kurei burns them. In the anime version, she's {{undress|ingTheUnconscious}}ed first because her clothes were dried from the previous episode's BattleInTheRain where she was kidnapped before wearing them again. Kurei still proceeds with the clothes burning, though.

** Harley Quinn has been hit with this a lot in TheNewTens. It started with the ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamSeries'' having her in skimpy outfits, such as a "sexy nurse", and evolved from there. In the comics specifically in the ComicBook/New52, Harley goes from a conservative jester suit to wearing a corset that barely holds her breasts and bares midriff, some hotpants, and {{stocking|filler}}s with combat boots. Her solo series sees her wearing some more conservative outfits, but they'll usually be showing off her legs, midriff, cleavage, or some combination of the three. The in-universe reason for this outfit change is that Harley is no longer attached to the Joker and she's trying to assert herself as an individual by ditching the matching jester outfit.

This remains the case when the character returns for the CrisisCrossover film, ''Film/SpiderManNoWayHome''.

* Similar to the aforementioned non-fanservice examples, The Lizard in ''Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan'' is depicted as completely naked (he does briefly wear a lab coat before a SWAT team shoot it off with MoreDakka). In the comics Connors keeps his lab coat, top and pants [[MagicPants even when transformed]].

* Male example with Thor in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse. In ''ComicBook/TheMightyThor'', he usually (especially in modern comics) has armoured sleeves, but in most of the films [[SleevesAreForWimps he bares his arms]] and only covers them up with scaled armour when he’s in/or about to go into battle.

''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'': Ukyo's legs were never shown in the manga because of the baggy ninja-to leggings she wore with her chef's attire, and because she wore a boy's uniform at school. Whereas the anime adaptation often [[LegFocus called attention to her legs]] by having her wear form-fitting stockings instead. And, in several scenes - such as the ''"Battle for "Ms. Beachside"'' OVA episode and ''Nihao My Concubine'' - her legs were left completely bare to further showcase their curvature.

He's still dressed modestly overall, but wearing a tank top over an open flannel means he still has more skin exposure than his ''Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger'' counterpart Tatsuya Asami (whose flannels are always buttoned up).

* ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIIRemake'' does this with the dresses Tifa and Aerith wear when infiltrating Don Corneo’s mansion. In the [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII original game]], [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/7/74/Tifa-ffvii-purple.png Tifa's got a small boob window and choker that covers her neck]]. In ''Remake'' the dress [[https://i.redd.it/ssyeim48jez41.jpg shows off a lot of her cleavage]] and even has SideBoob. Aerith's original dress, on the other hand, [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/e/ed/Aeris-ffvii-dress.png/revision/latest?cb=20120103140643 is a standard cocktail dress with shoulder straps]]. In ''Remake'' [[https://i.ytimg.com/vi/9oQXQfR663Y/maxresdefault.jpg it's strapless]] which also [[SexyBacklessOutfit exposes her back]] and [[SexySlitDress a pronounced slit]].
