When a consortium of various criminal syndicates called the "Genmakuu" suddenly emerges, the Galaxy Federal Police brings together the "Space Squad", a team of various Metal Heroes and Super Sentai, to defend the universe against the new threat.
The story of Space Squad is told through multiple films, each of which features a Metal Hero and Super Sentai team coming together to battle one of Genmakuu's [[LegionOfDoom 12 Apostles]], each of which is a past ''Metal Hero'' villain.
