* SweaterGirl: Of the non-form-fitting variety. Elsa's trademark article of clothing is her oversize blue sweater, the sleeves of which are long enough to cover her hands. She considers their thickness and weight a "shield" against the outside world.

** [[WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles Edna Mode]] is -- unsurprisingly -- a dressmaker. This cameo is made even more epic by the fact she's the only cameo in the entire story who is completely lifted intact from her original role, complete with the exact same personality quirks, down to doing Anna two dresses because she was so inspired.

* TheCameo:
** Characters from a large variety of Disney and Pixar films make their appearances here. Depending on the amount of exposure they get, could also count as MassiveMultiplayerCrossover.
** The institute has several. Anna spots one of the patients, a black-haired woman, [[{{WesternAnimation/Mulan}} muttering to her reflection]]. Another patient, Adam, has "[[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast monstrous anger issues]]". [[WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty Flora, Fauna and Merryweather]] are three elderly orderlies.

** [[WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph Ralph and Vannellope]] have an ice cream shop, Ralph's. [[{{WesternAnimation/Up}} Carl and Russell]] appear there as customers.

* CovertPervert: What with her silence, it's easy for Anna - and the audience - to think of Elsa as an innocent child. When the story's perspective shifts to her, however, we're reminded that she's an eighteen-year-old girl, one with definite... ''feelings'' for Anna.

* CuteMute: Elsa is adorably shy - around Anna, in any case - and hasn't uttered a word in ten years. [[spoiler:She finally makes a sound when with Anna, but has yet to start speaking again. It's implied the Institute lobotomised her, rendering her unable to speak]].

* TheCameo: Characters from a large variety of Disney and Pixar films make their appearances here. Depending on the amount of exposure they get, could also count as MassiveMultiplayerCrossover.

* AmbiguousDisorder: Hans' behavior. He's kind towards Anna, but fearsomely aggressive towards anybody who might shift him out of the center of her world.
