While Cleopatra is still a very powerful demon in this game, she's not the [[PurposelyOverpowered insanely broken]] magical powerhouse she was back in ''IV: Apocalypse,'' as she loses her ability to pierce Light resistance, and is fused at level 61 rather than level 99, which weakens her overall stats. On the other hand, she became a pretty impressive SupportPartyMember, having a maxed out affinity in Healing and Support, and her charm skill now affects all enemies, and also drops their Attack alongside Defense.

* DarkIsNotEvil: Looks ''very'' sinister, but he's a relatively noble person and is the Neutral Hero of the story.

* GoodIsNotNice: He may have humanity's best interests at heart per the norm for Neutral heroes, but if you stand against him in any way or form, he will cut you down without even blinking.

* LaterInstallmentWeirdness: He is only the second Neutral alignment representative who is a man, with Gore from ''Strange Journey'' (technically a spinoff) being the first. And unlike Gore (and Neutral representatives in general), Yakumo is ''very'' hostile towards the Nahobino for the vast majority of the game, only choosing to work with the Nahobino if he chooses his and Nuwa's side. Nuwa (a demon) is the one doing the heavy lifting to actually convince the Nahobino that their side is right.
