* TheBusCameBack: Konohana Sakuya's last outings in the franchise were ''Tokyo Revelation'', a 1995 OVA based off a manga of the same name, and ''Majin Tensei'', a spin-off of ''Megami Tensei'' and one of the precursors to the ''Shin Megami Tensei'' series. ''Vengeance'' also marks Konohana Sakuya's first appearance in ''SMT'' proper, barring her appearance as [[VideoGame/Persona4 Yuikoko Amagi's Persona]].

* AmbiguousSituation: When Aogami's repairs are completed, Koshimizu wonders on how Aogami and the protagonist came to possess the power of the Nahobino, making it uncertain whether Aogami is able to fuse with the protagonist because of his status as a proto-fiend and artificial demon or because the protagonist has [[spoiler:Susano'o's]] Knowledge. When Koshimizu discusses the topic of the Nahobino power, he reveals [[spoiler:himself as Tsukuyomi]] and states Yuzuru holds his Knowledge. Note that when he reveals Aogami [[spoiler:possesses Susano's magatsuhi]], he doesn't state [[spoiler:whether the protagonist has Susano'o's knowledge]]. Muddying waters further is the implication that [[spoiler:a demon can fuse with a human regardless of whether they have their Knowledge or not, as Zeus decides the Nahobino is a more fitting partner than the human who has his Knowledge otherwise would be]].

* TheVoiceless: He doesn't speak, with Pixie doing the bulk of the talking for him.

* TheBusCameBack: Konohana Sakuya's first appearance in any ''SMT''-related title was ''Tokyo Revelation'', an OVA based on the manga of the same name which was released all the way back in 1995. Excluding her appearance in ''VideoGame/Persona4'' as Yukiko Amagi's Persona, ''Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance'' is the first time Konohana Sakuya makes a proper debut in the series.

* LastOfHisKind: Aogami is a Proto-fiend; a mass-produced [[ArtificialHuman artificial demon]] meant to protect humanity and serve as Bethel's fighting force alongside the angels and other deities. It's implied that Aogami is the last functioning Proto-fiend remaining, as you encounter no other Proto-fiends nor are any others mentioned besides Aogami. This is reinforced with the Essence you find scattered throughout Da'at, among which are labeled "Aogami Type-[number]".

* CoolSword: She wields a long, golden sword similar in shape to a Christian crucifix. She drops it after becoming a Fallen Angel.

* ActionGirl: Albeit of the InformedAbility variety as she's never seen fighting on-screen, though given her moniker and her value to Bethel, it's implied she has some combat experience. She gets to show her chops when she returns as Panagia Tao, demonstrating her ability as a goddess/demon.

* GuestStarPartyMember: When she joins you as Panagia Tao. She's only available up to the TrueFinalBoss battle against Lucifer (and she'll leave right on the spot if you choose to Destroy the Throne), after which she will disappear and leave your party. Similar to Dante and Raidou from ''Nocturne'', although she has an entry in the Demonic Compendium that can be updated, she cannot be summoned after she leaves or early on in a NewGamePlus playthrough.

* AdaptationalHeroism: In ''V'' Sahori was unable to resist Lahmu's influence and rejected Tao's help right before slaughtering her bullies, but in ''Vengeance'' she tries to resist and cling on to her friendship with Tao over her own hatred.

* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Lilith's last [[VideoGame/ShinMegamiTenseiIV major appearance]] saw her go from a hauntingly seductive nude woman with a snake to a bizarre monstrosity with segmented body parts. ''Vengeance'' returns her to a more human-looking form that is more conveniently attractive.

The angel of persecution and hostility who tests the hearts of mankind and their loyalty to God. A servant of Bethel that descends to Da'at after the Qadištu make their presence known.

* AdvertisedExtra: Miyazu is touted as being one of the major characters in the game, and even gives the nudge to the protagonist to go into the events that lead him into becoming a Nahobino, but she has very little importance and relationship with the cast; you can literally count the amount of times she talks with the party on one hand alone. What little importance she does have fades after her school is attacked and the group goes to rescue the students. After that, she only gains some relevance in an endgame sidequest. Appears to be being subverted in ''Vengance''.
