* SkillGateCharacter: Newbies often depend on Valhein as a tutorial hero. Experts can also use their skills to a greater extent, like taking advantage of the Pocket Glaive to potentially stun-lock the enemy. His 'newbie hero' status and AlphaStrike play style tend to get him mocked, but expert players can also take advantage of how he's often underestimated to become a surprising threat.

Batman's most notorious ArchEnemy, an agent of chaos, styling himself as a clown that makes deadly jokes, whose past was very difficult to decipher thanks to his preference for MultipleChoicePast. The Joker, formerly a small-time crook and eventually transformed into Gotham's most vicious criminal, has terrorized Gotham and attempted to crush Batman's ideals, but the Dark Knight never faltered and was always ready to apprehend him and send him to Arkham Asylum. There, he encountered a man driven into madness after discovering a portal that would lead into Athanor. After 'befriending' and getting his secrets, the Joker once again escaped Arkham Asylum and made his way to Athanor, considering it a new place of beauty and order... to be corrupted as a grand joke.\\\

The Joker is an Archer hero who causes havoc on the battlefield and harasses his victims until they die laughing.
* His Passive is ''Punch Line''. Joker reloads his gun every time he exits battle; therefore, the next shot deals bonus damage, has increased attack range, and temporarily reduces his target's speed.
* His first skill is ''The Killing Joke''. Joker pulls a rocket launcher and shoots in a line, damaging any enemies in the path, but it will have a reduced damage for the next enemy hit.
* His second skill is ''Pick A Card, Any Card''. Joker will lose all his movement speed debuffs and gain a movement speed buff along with immunity to normal attacks (but not skills).
* His ultimate is ''Canned Laughter''. Joker leaps to his target, stuffs them with laughing gas, and vaults himself back to his original position. The gas will stun the enemy and deal damage in a short time, and for a brief time, Joker will gain increased attack speed.

* AdaptationalVillainy: Consort Yu's 'villainy' are noted to be rooted from [[BrainwashedAndCrazy being in a trance]] by someone. The Joker is... well, [[MonsterClown he's the Joker we all know]], he's evil to the core with no reasons.
* ArchEnemy: Be it in Gotham, the DC Universe, or Athanor, the Joker has always been Batman's most iconic ArchEnemy.
* AxCrazy: It goes without saying that the Joker is still as nutsy as ever. Athanor is also rife with crazy people for Joker to compete with (and one crazy but good Indonesian guy (Wiro)).
* DeviousDaggers: He's carrying an endless supply of knives that he throws at the enemy as his normal attack. He might not be using them for backstabs, but this is ''The Joker'' we're talking about. He's never a straight person, he always has a trick up his sleeve.
* MonsterClown: The most well-known fictional evil clown. Despite the presence of the jester-like Mganga, the Joker is still one of the most well-known jesters.
* TokenEvilTeammate: The Joker is the only DC character who is a supervillain.

* BoringButPractical: When compared to the other recent archers with more unique gimmicks, Teeri's kit can be a little underwhelming and basic, which is the source of complains from her detractors. Stuart and Joker are Archer heroes specializing in harassing their targets with increasingly powerful shots, withstanding normal attacks before leaping close and injecting a dose of special toxin to disorient or outright kill the enemy.
* Stuart's passive is ''Crime Spree''. Stuart can gather stacks when using normal attacks, first skill, and ultimate, as long as he hits an enemy hero with them. Once he reaches four stacks, he enters the Enhanced state.
** As Joker, the passive was known as ''Punch Line'' and worked differently. Joker could store up to 5 gunshots for normal attacks, which has enhanced damage based on the enemy's HP. If his gun is empty, he throws knives for his normal attacks. He can recharge by waiting for 10 seconds or by hitting an enemy hero with his first skill or ultimate.
* Stuart's first skill is ''Death Bloom'', titled ''The Killing Joke'' for Joker. Stuart aims his gun and launches a red bullet that deals damage to an enemy in line, with no damage reduction for the second enemy hit onwards after a short delay. In Enhanced state, Stuart eliminates the delay, and the bullet deals more damage than normal. The Joker replaces the gun with a rocket launcher.
* Stuart's second skill is ''Eyes of Fervor'', titled ''Pick A Card, Any Card'' for Joker. Stuart/Joker becomes temporarily immune to physical attacks while gaining movement speed.
* Stuart's ultimate is ''Last Breath'', titled ''Canned Laughter'' for Joker. Stuart/Joker jumps while gaining crowd control immunity, landing on a target without fail. After stunning them briefly, Stuart/Joker places a bomb (containing Joker Toxin for Joker) on their target, damaging them while they leap back to create distance between them and their target.

All of them still deal pretty big damage while allowing them to box with other recent archers safely, making them solid archers. Even the Enhanced state is pretty simple, which only modifies the delay of the first skill.

* DivergentCharacterEvolution: While most people believe that Tel'Annas is a port of [[VideoGame/HonorOfKings Jia Luo]], she has her own quirks to differentiate herself. Arum, Krixi, and Lindis are genuinely loyal to her, and even ancient beings like Baldum respect her enough. Valhein is young, optimistic, and fearless in the face of danger, but beneath his bravado lies an enormous willpower and dedication to defeating Athanor's demons.\\\
Valhein is an Archer hero who specializes in unloading a huge amount of damage with his set of skills before letting his highly damaging normal attacks finish the job.
* His passive is ''Pocket Glaive''. Valhein modifies every third attack he launches. If he throws any of these, he gets a Hunter buff, which increases his movement speed. This buff can be stacked up to four times. Throwing any of these special buffs (or activating any of his normal skills) will give him a Hunter stack. When he gets 4 stacks, for a period of time, Valhein increases his attack speed and will always throw a random ''Pocket Glaive'' in his attack instead of having to wait for 3 attacks and the time period is reset everytime he throws any glaive. There are three types of ''Pocket Glaives'' that Valhein can throw, represented by their colors:
** Blue grants him additional mana recovery and cooldown reduction.
** Red deals splash damage
** Yellow stuns the enemy.
* His first ability is ''Bloody Hunt''. Valhein manually throws a red-colored Pocket Glaive, which deals more damage than when it's thrown as his passive. He gets an additional Hunter buff for casting it.
* His second ability is ''Curse of Death''. Valhein manually throws a yellow-colored Pocket Glaive, which deals more damage than when it's thrown as his passive. He gets an additional Hunter buff for casting it.
* His ultimate is ''Bullet Storm''. Valhein draws his gun and shoots in six directions forward. If a hero is hit with multiple bullets, additional bullets after the first will deal more damage. If he manages to hit someone with it, he immediately maxes out his Hunter stack meter.

Deputy Commander Tel'Annas is the Forest of Shadows' queen of the Demon Hunter squad under Elves, as well as the Valiant Order leader of the Norman Kingdom, who took over Afata Alliance. After showing promise as an archer to her father, Landirr, she was granted the position after its former commander, Violet, resigned Morning Star bow, which she used to become defend Afata from the Lokheim invasion by Volkath. She felled him with a mercenary. Valhein shot, but she was overcome by the power of darkness (and a curse from the broken Soul Lamp by Eland'orr's antics) so that she was forced to put herself into a deep slumber. She woke up in time to defend Athanor from the second Lokheim invasion, but heard that Volkath may be returning, so she secludes herself in Afata, preparing herself for the next storm…\\\

* NotTheIntendedUse: In several servers and until the April 2023 patch, it's an unorthodox manner to build up Valhein as a MageMarksman, buying magic items to boost his skill damages since [[AlphaStrike that's what his skillset is all about.]] Not only may it catch the enemy off guard for those expecting him to launch normal attacks, but Valhein can take out a big chunk of HP in one go if his skills hit. AP Valhein
used to be a demon hunter like Valhein, and Richter is basically her upperclassman/senpai.

She is, however, pretty good at hit and run tactics, and she his skills, forcing him to rely on physical damage again.
* RandomNumberGod: There is no telling which glaive will come out of the Pocket Glaive. Hope a yellow one is ready when you're about to kill someone!
* SkillGateCharacter: Newbies often depend on Valhein as a tutorial hero. Experts
can circle around and outrun her enemies well.
* GunsAkimbo: Generally she's defaulting with two pistols, hence her title being 'Pistol Assassin'. Still, she actually has more guns in her storage.

* VitriolicBestBuds: Violet tends to argue with her demon-hunting pal Valhein. But she still Valhein respects him and even named him successor.Violet as a fellow Demon Hunter, but they argue a lot. Especially if Violet gets caught in a debt.

Violet is a seemingly normal girl living in a border town adept at combat, having run away from home at the age of 10 and was discovered by a Royal Military Academy instructor. Quickly showing an adept nature with guns and firearms, she became known as a prodigy. At the age of 17, she single-handedly defeated a horde of demons from the abyss during a field trip. She became friends with Valhein, and together they joined the Demon Hunters corps. However, Violet's career ended when she was accused of insubordination during an investigation into corruption. She became a mercenary afterwards, but kept in good contact with the Demon Hunters thanks to choosing Valhein as her successor. She's also one of the main protagonists of the official manga ''Light & Shadow'' where much of her mysterious nature and the source of her combat talent is explored.\\\
Violet is an agile Archer hero who specializes in mobile side-stepping and poking the enemy until even her pokes prove deadly.
* Her passive is ''Reload''. If Violet hits an enemy hero with a normal attack, she reduces the cooldown of her first skill.
* Her first skill is ''Tactical Fire''. Violet does a combat roll in a direction, and for the time being, her next normal attack is enhanced, gaining range and attack power. If there is a target nearby after she rolls, Violet also gains temporary movement speed.
* Her second skill is ''Fire in the Hole''. Violet throws a grenade that deals damage to an area and slows enemies caught in it.
* Her ultimate skill is ''Concussive Rounds''. Violet pulls off a rocket launcher and shoots a round that deals damage to the one hit and those behind them, dealing more damage if they have lost HP.
----
* BreakoutCharacter: At first, Violet seemed like just another character, and it would seem that the poster hero of the game is either Butterfly or Valhein. Without even achieving those, eventually Violet surpassed them in popularity, having the most skins amongst all heroes and still counting (She's also the first to receive a crossover skin with her ''VideoGame/HonorOfKings'' counterpart). And she's one of the main characters in the official manga.
* DemonSlaying: She used to be a demon hunter like Valhein, and Richter is basically her upperclassman/senpai.

* His second skill is ''Snipe''. Elsu stands in place, takes aim and increases his range per second until at one point the skill is released, at which point he executes a sniper shot that goes to a line and strikes the first enemy that makes contact with ForMassiveDamage. If he releases early (in which case his firing range is formed like a wide cone), he shoots erratically, which has a high chance of missing. Those successfully shot will be slowed. Elsu can store up to 3 charges.

* GlassCannon: As a sniper, Elsu has a slow attack speed, but each attack will hurt a lot more and his second skill is overly dependent on player skill (therefore, has big chances of missing). Most players encourage to just maximize his attack power anyway to the point that a normal attack will take out about 1/4 of a squishy hero's HP. But, he's still encouraged to stay in the back and avoid prolonged close range encounters, because unless he can escape, he's still going to go down quickly.

* MightyGlacier: Archer-version, due to being a sniper. Elsu has a slow attack speed, but each attack will hurt a lot more. Some people try to alleviate this by building attack speed items for him, which works, but will just bring him to the attack speed of a normal archer, instead of an archer with attack speed items.
