WMG / Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

Go To

Androids 13, 14, 15 and 21 will appear in the film.
They will join Paragus and Broly as Canon Immigrants.
  • Jossed for the first 3, but Confirmed for the latter: Android 21, or rather her human form Vomi is the only one to be made canon, using 21's design.

Uub will make a cameo.
As the timeline is chronologically getting close to the Peaceful World saga.
  • Jossed: Uub is still absent.

The English Dub will bring back Eric Vale, Robert McCollum, and Elise Baughman.
Seeing as Goten and Trunks now look like teenagers, and that Pan is probably old enough to speak properly.
  • Confirmed for the former 2, but Pan was ultimately recast with Jeannie Tirado reprising her role from Super as Pan's permanent voice actress going forward as Elise isn't capable of recreating Pan's original voice from End of Z.

Cell will return in this movie.
He only appear in flashbacks and be a Posthumous Character.

  • Alternatively he might actually be the third project the Red Ribbon Army is working on and be resurrected, he absorbs the first two androids and becomes the final opponent for Gohan to overcome.
  • Confirmed but Jossed: Cell MAX who is based on the original Cell, is ultimately the Big Bad as the Red Ribbon's secret project, but he has none of the original's abilities (including lacking the absorption ability of the original, making it impossible to absorb the Gammas) and is much much bigger than the original.

Magenta is the son of Commander Red and Colonel Violet.
Magenta is the colour between red and violet.
  • Confirmed for the former, but left vague for the latter: Magenta is the son of Red, but the only hint that points to Violet being his biological mother is a framed photo of her next to the photo of Commander Red on Magenta's desk. However the exact nature of his relationship with Violet is not mentioned.

Android 8 will return.
To help stop the Red Ribbon Army.
  • Jossed: Eighter only shows up in the flashback to the events of the Red Ribbon Army Saga.
21 will appear either near the end of the film or in The Stinger.
The Stinger will set her Superpowered Evil Side up as the next Big Bad.
  • Sadly Jossed: Vomi, the human form of Android 21 only shows up in flashbacks to show off Dr. Gero's lineage and how Dr. Hedo came to be, post-credit scene features Goku and Vegeta having a sparring match with Vegeta emerging victorious. Though her flashback appearance could count as a possible Sequel Hook to set up 21's actual appearance in the main series.

Gamma 2 will have a Heel–Face Turn.
He'll see Magenta try to kill Pan and block the shot, his superhero personality at war with the Red Ribbon Army's programming. He'll realize that a superhero would never try to kill a child and rebel, leading to a fight with the more loyal Gamma 1.
  • Confirmed but partially Jossed: for the most part, both Gammas ultimately turn good to stop Cell MAX's rampage in the climax, but this leads to the death of Gamma 2 which triggers Gohan's Final form transformation. Dr. Hedo also turns good at the end by joining Capsule Corp. (Only prediction that turned out wrong was that Magenta doesn't make any attempt on Pan's life at all, rather he has his chauffeur Carmine attempt the deed and the Gamma 1 only turns good due to Cell MAX being unleashed rather than Pan's life being threatened. Gamma 2, on the other hand turns shoots the gun out of Carmines hand after Carmine starts shooting at Pan, and helps convince his brother they are on the wrong side.)

Trunks and Goten will be getting a focus movie soon (possibly next)
They were involved in this movie showing off new older character models and while their failed fusion keeps them as comedy characters it does set up the question of what an older Gotenks would look like and whether he's matured enough to be useful. Even in his failed form with a comedy role they still managed to significantly injure Cell MAX, that might be setting them up for future badassery.
  • At the end of the movie they do successfully fuse but the result of their fusing is left unseen, possibly teasing a return to show off their new fusion form in a coming (possibly next) movie.

Bulma abusing the Dragonballs will result in a Shadow Dragon movie
She's used Shenron's godlike wishes to do minor cosmetic work for two movies in a row. Her selfishness will result in the Shadow Dragons escaping into the real world and wreaking havoc. At least one will take Bulma's form.
  • Would be a good way to bring filler character Maron back in some form and canonize her, maybe even being used as basis for said Evil Counterpart.

Shenron granting that something "extra" to Piccolo was unlocking Nail's potential inside of him in addition to Piccolo's own latent power.
The "potential unleashed" state that Piccolo fought Gamma 2 in was Piccolo's unlocked potential as the Nameless Namekian since he and Kami are now whole again. However, him attaining his "Orange Piccolo" form was the result of Nail also getting his potential power inside Piccolo increased to the max, as if Nail had trained independently on his own for all those years, considering Nail was once a separate character and was easily the strongest Namekian warrior on the planet during the Frieza Saga before fusing with Piccolo. So essentially, "Orange Piccolo" could be considered a permanently fused Namekian equivalent to Gogeta, as it's Nail's power within Piccolo's body also acting as a multiplier to help Piccolo achieve his "Orange" state.

Saiyan "S-Cells" are leaking into the Earth
And this is where Orange Piccolo comes from.
Gohan is shown studying insects that are able to transform themselves when agitated in a similar manner to Super Saiyan. After years of Saiyans living, fighting, and dying on Earth, the unique cells that enable the Super Saiyan transformation have made their way into the local ecosystem.
The extra boost Shenron gave Piccolo was to increase the amount of S-Cells the Namekian had in his body, to the point that he could access his own transformation, something that would have naturally happened after many more years of living on Earth. Since Namekians have no hair to turn gold, the transformation instead changes their skin color.
Eventually, even humans may gain access to the benefits of S-Cells, perhaps resulting in a way for Krillin and the other Z-Fighters to catch up.

"Beast Gohan" is a result of the Elder Kai's ritual and potential unlocking during the Buu Saga.
While there was little foreshadowing for Gohan's new form in the movie itself, we could look back to a previous saga for how Gohan attained this form. The reason Gohan never attained Super Saiyan Blue and skipped straight to his "Beast Gohan" form is because of the rituals Elder Kai performed on him to unlock his "Mystic Gohan" state back in the Buu Saga. Because of the Elder Kai's unlocking of Gohan's new form back then, Gohan's power and biology were fundamentally altered and the precedence was already set even back then for Gohan to "evolve differently" into something else other than Super Saiyan Blue or Goku or Vegeta's "Ultra" forms but he never did in all these years because he slacked off during peace time.
