  • Gohan managing to re-awaken his Ultimate form and start putting the smackdown on Gamma 1 when he thinks his daughter Pan is being abused by her Red Ribbon captors.
    • In the same vein, when Henchman #15 shows Gohan the video of Pan crying for help, Gohan immediately goes feral and starts wiping the floor with the goon, demanding to know what they did to his little girl.
    • On Gamma 1's side, he tells Gohan that, despite his opponent's hard-hitting attacks, he's only down to 82% power.
    • When the fight with the Gammas is called off when the causes are addressed, Gohan is still in an advantageous (if comedic) position over Gamma 1. So despite Gohan's worry about the aforementioned power reserves, he was still winning the fight at the time it ended.
  • After being subject to a Curb Stomp Cushion by Gamma 2, Piccolo’s latent power awakened by Shenron manifests as he's enveloped in orange light, creating a skyward column of fire as Orange Piccolo rises. Gamma 2 tries to counterattack with a flurry of punches to no effect, before Piccolo knocks the android out with one punch.
  • Pan shows that she has definitely inherited the Son and Satan family’s fighting spirit by effortlessly taking out several Red Ribbon soldiers, culminating with her knocking out Magenta’s right-hand man Carmine with one punch. Not bad for someone that’s still in training.
    • Before that, when a Red Ribbon mook shows up to her school to kidnap her under the guise of being sent by Videl to pick her up, she knocks him out, telling her teacher Janet that he's a stranger she never met. When Piccolo, in disguise as a RR soldier, runs up to her, she's instantly able to recognize him by sensing his ki, which impresses him.
  • Despite Bulma's doubts, Krillin actually manages to accomplish a lot during the final battle. First, he saves Bulma from the explosion caused by Cell Max's energy (gleefully pointing out that if he weren't there, she'd be toast). He also saves 18 from getting struck by Cell Max with a well-placed Destructo Disk. And finally, he uses the Solar Flare technique to temporarily blind Cell Max, helping Gamma 2 to pull off his Heroic Sacrifice. Furthermore, he reminds Piccolo of his Great Namekian ability, which plays a pivotal role in the defeat of Cell Max.
  • Despite Broly's fairly small amount of screen time, he's now training with Goku, Vegeta and Whis and is already making significant progress with controlling his anger issues, being shown partially transforming into his Wrath State and retaining enough control over himself to stop and power down. Adding to this, it's mentioned by Goku shortly afterwards that he's now no longer as prone to going nuclear as he once was, further showing Broly's adeptness at learning when tutored appropriately.
    • On a final note, this also ends up indirectly flipping off Paragus posthumously by showing the leaps and bounds Broly is capable of when under the tutelage of competent teachers, who instead of having his prodigal strength be literally shackled away, encourage its growth and give Broly the means and training to properly master it.
  • Gamma 2’s Heroic Sacrifice. As the Z Fighters are keeping Cell Max busy, Gamma 2 flies up to the stratosphere and then pours all his remaining energy into a final, desperate attack aimed at Cell Max’s weak point. While it sadly fails to kill Cell Max, his attack succeeds in gravely wounding the beast by severing his right arm and scarring that side of its body. Piccolo himself states that Gamma 2’s sacrifice gave the Z Fighters a chance to stop Cell Max for good, and calls him a “true superhero” in the end.
  • Just when all seems lost for the Z Fighters and when Piccolo gets defeated by Cell Max's ki barrage, GOHAN SNAPS. He literally EXPLODES, transforming into his ultimate form, Gohan Beast and proceeds to completely No-Sell Cell Max’s attacks before charging up his finishing move. Cell Max notices this and attempts to get away only to be restrained by Piccolo, who holds Cell Max in place long enough for Gohan to fire directly at Cell Max’s head, finally bringing the monster down.
    Gohan: Special Beam CANNOOONNN!!!
    • Despite being in a power rage, Gohan is able to listen to Piccolo and drop everything in order to strike a decisive attack to finish Cell Max. It shows Gohan has continued to take his experiences in the Universal Survival Arc to heart and not letting his power make him cocky and arrogant.
  • Doubles as funny, but while they're both exhausted, Vegeta finally manages to beat Goku in a legitimate one-on-one fight at the end of their sparring match.
