Truly, the End of an Era.
  • The untimely demise of Francesca the First on the January 11, 2016 episode of Raw, snapped over the knee of Chris Jericho, which cost them the match against the Usos. The fact that they held a funeral for their dear old friend the next week only makes it worse.
  • When they finally lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to Sheamus and Cesaro at Roadblock: End of the Line. The three of them had gathered up in a corner of the ring, holding the titles with the most despondent looks upon their faces. It gradually gave way to a Heartwarming Moment, though, as they got up, offered the titles to their victorious opponents, and then joined with Cesaro in a group hug.
  • After the March 19th episode of SmackDown went off the air, Xavier and Big E were considering leaving WWE. Why? Because they felt that they've been held back by WWE management. More specifically, Kofi had been screwed over by Mr. McMahon, and screwed out of his WrestleMania WWE Championship opportunity to face Daniel Bryan. It's hard to watch those same people who have entertained us for years with their pancakes, trombones, and fun activities be dejected and contemplating leaving the company in spite of everything they've done.
  • As of the October 9th, 2020 episode of Smackdown, The New Day, just after winning the Smackdown Tag Team Championships for the 7th time, were broken up, due to Kofi and Xavier being drafted to Raw and Big E being drafted to Smackdown. You can hear the desperation, denial and horror in Xavier's voice when they realize what's going on.
Xavier: (panicking) You [Stephanie] didn't say E's name [about going to Raw]! Say E's name!
    • On the next week's show, the team had a farewell celebration, reliving some of their greatest moments together before having one final 3v3 tag match against old rivals The Bar and Shinsuke Nakamura, which they won with a final Midnight Hour from Big E and Xavier, before just hugging each other in the middle of the ring. People who had criticised the way the team was being split up for making no sense whatsoever still confessed that the segment was enough to wring tears from a stone, and that they appreciated that for once a long-running and beloved team, whose message was centered around friendship and positivity, was able to split up peacefully and with their dignity rather than by one of them turning heel on the others.
