Heartwarming / The Lost Boys

Go To

  • After Michael first accepts his vampiric nature, his and Sam's comforting each other and agreeing not to tell their mother what's happening is a moving bonding moment.
    • Later, Sam talking with Michael about the best way to help him and restore his humanity even while he's terrified that David might kill him.
  • The Frog brothers may be blowhards, but when David grabs Sam during the raid on the hotel, they determinedly pull him to safety rather than cut and run.
  • Sam racing out to bring in his beloved dog Nanook before the climax isn't smart, but it's still touching. As is how his brother races after him to keep him safe.
    • Nanook's protectiveness of Sam in general.
    • Sam yelling at the Big Bad not to touch his mother, then desperately charging at him in the climax, is as heartwarming as it is awesome.
  • Star's Big Sister Instinct toward Laddie when the Frog brothers try to stake him, followed by how she comforts and reassures him after the defeat of the final evil vampire.
  • It's a very small moment, but after the Lost Boys kill the old security guard, the next morning the Emerson boys pass his now-widowed wife putting up a missing persons poster for him. The look on her face is surprisingly heartbreaking.
  • Laddie, subdued and silent for most of the movie, races into the room calling Star's name with a huge smile on his face once cured of his vampirism. Star's voice is near tears from relief when she rushes to embrace him, overjoyed to see her surrogate "little brother" both human and happy.
