Fridge Horror
- Kimberly Dunn's murder was already horrific and upsetting, but after Matthew Fallon's murder and impersonation by creeptastic serial sex predator Doctor Psycho is revealed it becomes even worse. This means that before Cale got there to rant at the poor woman and murder her Psycho had alone time with Dunn before leaving her bound and gagged to wait for Cale.
- Ares becomes Lord of the Dead by killing Hades. At first this seems merely surprising until one realizes he no longer requires the living and their wars/conflicts to exist so long as he has dead souls in Hades, meaning the reason he's been a non-villain and occasional ally since he was shown the downside of his WWIII plot at the beginning of the series has now vanished. In the next series and the continuation of this one in Vendetta this becomes Ascended Fridge Horror when he jumps back to being an evil villain and tries to kill everyone on earth.
