  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • Large monsters roaring. Not only does it stun the Hunter, monsters can do it at just about any time. Interrupting Hunters just as they were about to land a big hit or were in the middle of using an item. This can get especially bad if another large monster shows up, resulting in it happening twice as much. The "Earplugs" skill can mitigate this somewhat at least.
    • As mentioned in Memetic Troll above, Wingdrakes have a tendency to drop Hunters in random locations at the beginning of High Rank hunts. Which can even result in players being dropped, literally right next to the monster with no time to prepare.
      • Iceborne addressed this by making them drop Hunters off in far off places on the map with a rare mining node that gives out armor sphere. Although, they'll still occasionally drop them off in front of the monster you're hunting.
    • Out of all the status ailments in the game, none will cause more frustration and deaths than Stun. It is triggered after your hunter receives too many hits in a short time and causes your hunter to become dizzy and unable to move for several seconds, usually guaranteeing the monster a free hit on your hunter. The problem is that your hunter tends to get dizzy at the most inopportune moments, such as when they’re one hit away from death and in most cases guaranteeing a KO. Also unlike every other status ailment, every monster can inflict Stun, so it is always a concern during hunts. Thankfully three levels of "Stun Resistance" will make you immune.

Not sure why these examples are here when they exist in classic Monster Hunter as well. What makes their World implementations different?
