So, what trope would cover:

1) Malum was a member of a 1st Company Sternguard Veteran Squad. 2) He is the sole survivor of his squad following his squad's drop pod crashing. 3) If his squad included an apothecary, he's dead, too. 4) There is no means of harvesting the gene-seed of the fallen Marines or salvaging their equipment.

I mean, I'm not the only one who sees how bad this is, right?

If you don't have the strength of character to laugh at your own misfortune, don't worry, somebody else will be more than happy to.

I will begin writing a small summary of the games plot, but before that, the above link is proof. Boltgun is an interquel to the first Space Marine game. And I can further testify that it is because aside from the above link, there was a gameplay leak several hours ago that showed the opening cutscene of the game.

Subtitles were in Russian (though thankfully the Inquisitor's dialogue was in English) and it was a little hard to hear the Inquisitor's dialogue, but from what I can gather: It has been several years since the First Space Marine game and the Inquisition has been keeping a close eye on Graia since it was invaded and the plot starts because the Mechanicum is trying to study the fragments of Inquisitor Drogan's Power Source.

Any doubts of my claims will be verified, hopefully, once the developer livestream will be shown tomorrow. That is if the developers decide to show the opening cutscene. I can't remember if they wanted to do a walkthrough or a speed-run.
