Something I do wanna point out, regarding Kirsten, the point of contention in these edit wars. Kirsten isn't just based off of Lizzy, she was even named Lizzy before December of 2020, when the actual Lizzy Orchard came forward with the way she claimed Lily abused her. Only then was Lily's ex's name changed to, "Kirsten," in a shady attempt to save face and not be accused of libel.
This is true, people have archived those pages. Lily and Mikaila had been actively writing Lizzy as a villain in their pokemon comic. She even posted a comic that outright vilifies her before deleting it after she received criticism. The prose story post was added much later with Kirsten added instead. I feel like the trivia page should probably reflect this?
seek the truth alwayshttps://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/query.php?parent_id=97974&type=att There's been a consensus that the creator's claims about what a character is based on can be troped, and the IRL tit-for-tat between Orchard and her ex is not something that should be here.
Edited by morpmorp Hide / Show RepliesWouldn't calling the individual "abusive" as an absolute fall under their IRL tit-for-tat, and as such be considered real life drama?
It only is if you have a weird interest in denying the creator's own words on character inspiration.
When the creator's words are an accusation against a real-life person that has been perpetuated through the comic for over two years and resulted in the person receiving hate messages from the creator's fans to this very day, yet everything about the subject besides the claim itself brings its reliability into question, then yes.
If anything, based on the fact that you have made zero edits aside from this kerfuffle with Lily's pages, you tried to shove the trivia bit about the abuse into Kirsten's character page, and your version of the subject is worded in such ways as "the real-life abusive ez who tried to cut off all of Orchard's support systems" of "the real life abusive ex, wity much of the story being about recovering from her abuse " it seems you have a weird interest in making sure the allegation stays alive through this wiki as vividly as possible.
Thus, it became necessart to present the counter-information in order to raise the question as to whether highlighting the creator's word is in fact more important than keeping people safe from the potentially undue harm that it can bring.
Why is Kristen mentioned twice in the Trivia page now?

Oh, I see what you mean. The other version in the YMMV. I saw that, thought about editing it down, decided to wait on the matter. Haven't even checked the history on when it got there either. The pretext for why this is different I'm guessing is the backlash she got for initially portraying the other person directly in the comic, but I still feel it's kinda suspect as is.
Edited by SomeoneElse17Morpmorp i get you're a superfan but trying to post ANY allegations as fact is a bit suspicious . Because none of us know the exact truth since we're not them we need to refrain from bringing up the real life issues
I understand that some are irritated by the rapid edit and re-editing but please take that up with the mods instead of acting outside the rules. I asked the mods to help, if you have grievances air them in a suitable place. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/query.php?parent_id=98035&type=att ( ie : why are y'all using the ' reason ' segment to communicate with each other instead of doing it in dms or a discussion forum? )
