...Oh, great, the folders on this page are broken AGAIN. And I can never figure out how to fix these things, so I have no idea what to do.

Folders can only hold so much text and these ones have gotten too long. To fix it, break them up into more, smaller folders.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

I made a few new folders based on how certain series had quite a few entries in both "Other" folders. There were probably a few more I could do, but I'll probably do that later if someone else doesn't.

BOOM. Ah, frig, the fourth wall was broken AGAIN.

The entry for Moldorm from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past outright states that it is a Goddamned Boss, not That One Boss. While That One Boss is easy to die to, Moldorm seems to simply be extremely annoying and take a long time to beat... which is a Goddamned Boss. I checked the Goddamned Boss page and saw Moldorm listed there and also the LTTP YMMV page and saw Moldorm listed as That One Boss... but someone commented on the page that Moldorm is a Goddamned Boss, so, seeing that someone agreed, I relabeled him as Goddamned Boss. Now, while I would simply delete Moldorm here, there's the problem that Moldorm now provides the image. I firmly believe that Moldorm is NOT That One Boss, but a Goddamned Boss, but since he now provides the image, I would like to hear what others think.

To reiterate, definitions for the two tropes in question:

That One Boss: Really hard. Very easy to die a lot.

Goddamned Boss: Frustrating and generally takes forever, but not actually hard.

So, everyone else's thoughts?

Zap it. If it's Godaamned Boss, put it there.

Actually, it seems that there have already been too much discussion on the image here. For convenience's sake and since many believe Moldorm is That One Boss, I'll just leave well enough alone.

Barbos? Are you sure we're playing the same game? Barbos is pathetically easy. I don't know what everyone's talking about. "That One Boss for the whole series", my foot. As long as you stand in exactly the right place during the third phase, she's a cakewalk. Even though I've only played the GBA remake of DKC3, I watched a video of the original SNES battle and they have not toned her down at all for the remake.

Let's let events play out as they will. What happens in WAOA stays in WAOA.

I'm bad at wording new entries. Does anyone want to add Bigocto from Ocarina of Time? (Miniboss, Jabu Jabu)

Why the hell is Volgin from MGS 3 not on this page? I swear to god I cannot find a single weakness to this guy. I tried asking everyone on the call page, and they didn't help me one bit. Attack him from behind or to the side? I tried that, but he just instantly turns toward you to deflect the attack. Attack him when his surge attack runs out of charge? It does not. Like, ever. Even getting a hint from Raikov by holding a dagger to his throat didn't help me much. Apparently he's weak to water. Well, what does that mean? In short, Volgin is impossible. If you claim that you beat him, you're lying.

You Could Always Edit It Yourself.

Also, my brother finished MGS 3, so it's perfectly doable. Just keep trying.

Didn't this page used to list pretty much every boss from TheLegendOfZeldaALinkToThePast as That One Boss? I wonder why most of them were removed...

Storm Eagle from Megaman X - really? :O Weird, that has never occurred to me as even a tricky boss. Sure, without the dash upgrade it's tricky but definately doable, just more time-consuming as you need to focus much more on not being pushed off the platform instead of being able to pretty much freely blast away with your X-buster. But with the dash, it's a cakewalk. 1. Spits the egg - just as it's about to touch the ground, fire a charged X-buster shot (you start charging it up when Storm Eagle goes off-screen, don't you?), no little birds flying around. 2. Lands & shoots a tornado - just repeatedly dash towards him and keep firing. 3. Stands & flaps wings - same as above. 4. Keep dashing back and forth to avoid the swoops while charging up the X-buster. When charged, blast him in the face on his next dive.

Yeah I also thought "Really?" from reading that entry. Pesonally, I find Eagle the easiest boss in the game.. but, this trope is very much YMMV, I suppose. I've seen people struggle with him before, mostly for the swooping attack. Everything else he does is a joke.

Half to agree with you on how Eagle is a total joke, but I say keep him for the sake of showing how The Skiver is that much more of a That One Boss, considering he practically is an improved version of the former

Kingdom Hearts has its very own That One Boss section. Should we take down the entries here, or just leave them for the sake of leaving them?

Leave them. Reading about Demyx brought a smile to my face after I read about the Internet phenomenon that is "Dance, water, dance!"

About Castlevania's Death... How come Super Castlevania 4's Death isn't listed in it? He's easily the hardest boss of the entire game without being the final one. Oh god the times I had to start over.

See you in the discussion pages.

Okay, I've got one.

  • The Father from IWBTG has insanely hard to dodge attacks, a charge attack for if you don't shoot him enough when he's on the ground for the first phase, and last but not least, he has a second form where things get even crazier! Eye Beams and fangs (which, predictably, share a graphic with the spikes) are shot everywhere during this insanely hectic battle. And I didn't mention that there's FIRE ON THE FLOOR AFTER YOU DAMAGE HIM ENOUGH!!!!

I did some cleaning up on the Mega Man section and there were a few cases with Natter arguing about facts and whether or not a boss belongs to the page or not. I'm not that familiar with these works, someone who knows more about these entries can put the correct parts back in if necessary.

Duo from Mega Man Battle Network 4, is he or is he not weakened on first playthroughs. I don't know if it even matters, but there were contradicting entries and I removed them both since I don't know which one is correct.

When exactly does Kingman from Mega Man Battle Network 3 use his Plan B attack. Again, I don't necessarily think it matters, but contradicting entires removed.

Someone had put Deathtanz Mantisk from Mega Man Zero 3 as That One Boss, and two edits after that nattered that he's easy. If he's that arguable does he belong to the page? Same with Gemini Man from Megaman 3, two edits disagreeing with him being That One Boss.

Blade Man from Mega Man 10? Anybody else think he's hair-pullingly hard?
