I actually think that the Rangers names don't end with "Ninja", but rather with "Ninger". How did I came to this conclusion? Well, for one, the Super Sentai members names contain the team's name in it. Since the show is called Ninninger, it would mean the them goes like Aka Ninger. Secondly, while it may not be apparent to a Western eye immediately, remember how the Japanese pronounce the word "ranger" - "renjaa". In other words, we're dealing here with a nifty world play, as this way, the Japanese pronunciation for the word "Aka Ninger" will be, you guessed it, "Aka Ninjaa". Third and last, the rangers names we're written in katakana, with is used to write foreign words in Japanase. If the name would be "Color Ninja", or rather "Iro Ninja", then why they didn't write it with hiragana or kanji? I rest my case.

How do you know it's not the other way around and the show is in fact called Ninninja? We'll just have to wait and see if an official romanisation turns up.

Katakana is also used for made up words, by the way, which Ninninger certainly is. The last word of every Sentai's name is in katakana, and that's why.

I wasn't talking about the title, but rather about their names that are shown on this poster next to the characters, which are written in katakana.

Why did I find this article on the Cut List? It's not a stub, and if it ever was, that's because the show hasn't actually started yet so of course we're going to be lacking info!
