I cut this:
- If it's the arc about the Young Masters, what she mentions is that SHE thinks he's a serial killer and ineffective at bringing down crime in the long-term.
- If recalling correctly, the woman the criminal used in the above-mentioned scene was a willing Judas-Fish who did whatever the criminal said and gleefully helped to put Castle in the trap of the main baddie. Had she been a true innocent, Frank might well have moved to help her. As it stood, she died while painfully realizing just how nuts her boss was. In fact, the scene (in some kind of Summer Special Issue, I think) is reminiscent of The Incredibles, where it went just a tad better for the henchwoman, Mirage. This special came out ten or more years before that, though.
out for nattering...but if someone have enough knowledge about the subject matter, feel free to correct it and put it back in...I have no idea how to do it.
Give me cute or give me...something?This quote is from the introductory paragraphs: "In general, as an evolutionary-based concept, there are very few humans who can STAND the thought of TRULY ending the life of another human without military training."
I think the thousands and thousands of homicide convicts in the world's prisons would find this statement incredible.
I wonder if Chaotic Good characters would follow this rule. Considering the fact that they are good, these characters would probably be the only ones on the Chaos side of the Order Versus Chaos axis to play The Fettered.

Edited by ccoa Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.The tone of this article seems to imply that this attitude (never killing) is somehow naive or wrong. I'd like to rewrite it to make it more neutral, but I don't have time right now. Does anyone else see this?
Hide / Show RepliesHonestly? Never killing is naive, in my opinion.
Yes, if there's some kind of peaceful solution, and you can avoid killing, that's better, but sometimes, it's unavoidable and occasionally better to kill than not to. Joker Immunity aside, you can't tell me that life wouldn't be better in Gotham City if someone had snuffed the clown a long time ago.
More in the real life, think of your average murderous psychopath, or armed killer whose only goal is to kill as many people as they can. Some people can't be reasoned with or stopped short of lethal force, and it's a lot harder to incapacitate someone without killing them, especially when they're not using the same restraint.
Well tropes should not include a single person's opinions. This is not a blog.
Do you realize that in reality most serial killers sentenced to life without parole DIE in prison? They do not get out, they are no longer a danger and no killing was necessary.
Edited by KageNaraHalf the description appears to be about heroes and superheroes, especially in comic format, but the examples are in all areas — it's slightly confusing. I believe the trope description should be re-written to condense that part. Thoughts?
Trope Namer:
While it is very common for people to misquote Exodus 20:13, I believe that you will find that the overwhelming majority of bible translations say "Thy shall not MURDER"
Hide / Show Repliesyeah. "thou shalt not kill" is pretty famous. but an eye for an eye leaves whole world blind so the bible is you're third one.yeah, then ten commadements where brutal,it was an eye for an eye.religion has changed over time(for the better).
What's your point? This fact is mentioned in the page entry on the Bible and the trope itself refers to people who won't kill for various reasons, not necessarily religious ones.
Don’t be special be one of us. Newsflash: I am special, and I will never be one of you!@drdotxom, what the hell are you rambling about? "an eye for an eye" is not one of the ten commandments and to bring it up as evidence for the ten commandments being brutal is completely and utterly asinine.
The Thou Shalt Not Murder wording is important because it is saying that one can kill under the right circumstances. Plus, its great for screwing with religious nuts that think Metal Gear Solid is made to adhere to their specific beliefs.
I like the Batman Hero, I consider him one of the Best Heroes in the World and the fact that he is the Hero of the Poster of this Trope Proves it because this is 1 of the Main Rules of Batman, as Tim Drake said in the Comic (Which I did not have the Opportunity to Read) Batman Does Not Kill for him, life Is Sacred in his Rule Book, life Even Defeats Justice.
