I would suggest that the last entry in Live-Action TV regarding Betty White's death is better suited to trope Colbert Bump rather than this one.

The current image isn't an example, considering those masks are Guy Fawkes masks, an ACTUAL person from history.

If you're going to put up a review of something, MAKE SURE IT HAS A PAGE FIRST!

Are there any examples for tabletop games to add to the page?

Couldn't we rename this trope "Inspired By Fiction"?

"Jurassic Park Increased the demand for frilled lizards as pets, due to them looking like the portrayal of the dilophosaurus in the film. Ironically, frilled lizards are, as with the dilophosaurus, carnivorous. "

Removed everything after "ironically" as a: useless information and b: not ironic.

Would the "Vote for Pedro" shirt from Napoleon Dynamite count as one?

Pretty sure it was a merchandising tie-in, but I could be wrong...

If renaming this trope ever comes up for discussion, I'd suggest "Consumer Demand MacGuffin".

I've been wondering where I can put an example for a group/organization spawned by an event that happened in fiction :/ Been searching forever and this is the closest I got. Any ideas?

Why is this a trivia trope?

It should be a metacontext trope.

Wha?! I remember red Swingline staplers from my childhood (Sixties, Seventies) — although, come to think of it, only a miniature variety.

Yes, the page mentions that red miniature Swinglines have existed for decade, but the full sized versions were only manufactured after the release of Office Space.

I don't know if this is necessarily true and I haven't heard of a teen rise in pregnancy or anything (though there are a few TV shows about it still.)

  • The other problem with Juno was that it made teen pregnancy trendy.

I removed the famous story of Reese's Pieces in E.T. because that is Product Placement, and already covered on that page.

Moved from the Main Page where it's natter, but probably wouldn't be a bad idea:

  • Not to be the Jerkass editor here, but a leeeetle sourcing would be nice. "Many of these pets are abandoned"? Okay...I'll just take your work for it I guess.

So anyway, I would like to add to the article in the Anime/Manga section that Initial D propelled Takumi's Toyota Corolla Sprinter Trueno from anonymous banger that only an enthusiast would love into the limelight. Prices rose up as a result and finding a panda AE 86 like the Fujiwara car in Japan or anywhere, really, will set you back some serious currency - I've seen them go as high as 10K USD.
