Moved here to clarify whether he fits.
- Theodore "Laurie" Lawrence of Little Women: next-door neighbor, in love with Jo, got over it (despite the desires of the fandom), fell in love with and married her sister Amy.
I would say no, because he's not the only male in the cast. There's also his tutor, John Brooke (who courts and marries Meg), and his father, who interacts with the family, mostly Beth but also Jo.

How the hell does being the main character not count as this trope? How does that matter? If he's still the only male in a group of women, he's still the only male in a group of women.
