Simple. Bi means you're attracted to male and female. Pan means you're attracted to male, female, trans, nonbinary, or any other gender identity.
Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.Honestly, there really shouldn't be a stigma against finding someone of the same sex attractive, even if you're straight. If they're hot, they're hot! Speaking of which, how come girls can compliment each other like that without question, but it's weird when guys do it? Pretty reductive if you ask me!
Edited by MrStranger616Okay. I am so sorry, but I have got to say that is, by far, the best image for TV tropes ever. (Not even for the Male Gaze fanservice. That's a bonus, I guess. Sorry, again). Just because it's the best representation of a trope I have seen. I have nothing of value to add. I just wanted to point it out.

Is this really necessary? Seriously?
"You cannot judge a system if your judgement is determined by the system." Hide / Show RepliesAre there any other famous people besides Elvis who you think many people would invoke this trope at? I mean who could be a Stupid Sexy Flanders to many people? I know I'm a straight man, but I find Freddie Mercury (around 1976) pretty darn sexy, and I know many many other people are in my situation.
Does this trope also apply to situations where a character who's very comfortable identifying as homosexual is unnerved by their attraction to someone of the opposite sex (a quick perusal of Tumblr, for example, will bring up a whole lot of "I SWEAR I'M A LESBIAN BUT...")? Or an asexual character suddenly being sexually attracted to anyone? What about a straight character being attracted to someone of the opposite gender they really don't want to be attracted to (I'm a straight woman and I still found my reaction to this photo◊ of Loki from the Thor movie to pretty much match this trope, just because I've seen his fandom and do not want to end up at that point myself. I think it makes sense to reclassify this trope as just sudden unwanted sexual attraction regardless of the orientations involved.
Edited by meganphantomgrl Hide / Show RepliesWell, I have this to say: I suppose if the person is outside your identified orientation, then it counts. And, take my word for it, when you're asexual, everything is a Stupid Sexy Flanders!
Yeah, it counts. The TL;DR version clarifies this, and there were tons of these in Troper Tales before they were officially taken off the site. Though it's probably a good idea to reword the unabridged page to make this more clear, as the response by Teraus has noted the Unfortunate Implications with the "You certainly aren't gay" at the beginning. (Still made me giggle...)
"Deadpool is bi."
Well, pan. But you get my point.
