In Anime and Manga, A Certain Magical Index has Accelerator as an example of this trope, but he actually is more of a subversion. While he has powers but loses in a street fight he manages to take multiple hits and keep fighting despite it probably being the first time he is ever hit by any attack ever. He also later has his powers crippled and begins training to fight without them which would again be somewhat of a subversion. I think he belongs on this page, given the difference between his physical abilities and power but it should be mentioned how he also subverts it.

I'm confused about the difference between Squishy Wizard and Glass Cannon. Their descriptions are really similar, and they even mention each other in them.

A Glass Cannon is a specialist that focuses on damage output, a Squishy Wizard has comparative diversity.

Also, Squishy Wizard is a less fight-oriented trope than Glass Cannon in many instances.

Who removed my Paul FĂ©val entry under Literature?? You supposed to leave a message here if you remove something explaining why. Now I don't think I have the text saved anywhere so to add it again I'd have to retype from scratch.

Going over the page more, it seems someone wanted to remove all not explicitly Supernatural examples. (In which case The Colonel is still ambiguously eligible). But ti's not limited to explicitly magical or psychic abilities, simply great intelligence counts, Lelouch would not be this any less if he never got his Geass, he was always planning to overthrow Britannia C.C. just gave an operutnity to get started sooner.

Unbreakable is gone from films but Sam Jackson's character and his mom explicitly cite this trope, it's the main clue that makes the twist work. I added Johann Spurzheim because I see him as an overlooked but important predecessor of that modern Comic Book archetype but Professor Xaviar also embodies, as well The Ultra Humanite the origonal proto-type of Lex Luthor.

Ok so I see now there is a Genius Cripple trope for that. Well it's something that should be mentioned in the main description as a related but different Trope.

Huh? I have no idea what House has to do with this.

He's very intelligent, but has a disabling injury. The writers have mentioned originally planing to have him in a Wheelchair.

Yeah... that doesn't really have to do with this trope.
