Treasure Island is listed here, together with three film adaptations. I contest that Treasure Island is a true Sea Story, considering this page defines that "[a] sea story is a work where the ocean is the primary setting". The ocean is not the primary setting in Treasure Island; the primary setting is Treasure Island, the opening chapters are set in England, and the sea voyage to Treasure Island is covered by two chapters only (of 34). Even within these two chapters, the "enclosed setting of life aboard a ship" or characters "forced to interact in cramped and stressful conditions" are not much of a topic.

Treasure Island falls under the Wooden Ships and Iron Men setting alright, but not all works in that setting are Sea Stories.

Let's just say and leave it at that.

How come there are so many sea stories and so few caravan stories?
