"Rapunzel when she appeared in Fables. Because she was cursed, she couldn't stay in place around the mundies for too long and had a rather modern twist to her curse...her hair was cut several times a day, then donated to a wig factory; and the people there thought she was a colony of Amish girls." "It proved to be quite an interesting case of Blessed with Suck. Rapunzel makes quite a lot of money selling her hair, she makes three sets of hair several feet in length a day that are completely undamaged from wear and tear or cosmetics. Unfortunately she can barely enjoy her fortune since she's not allowed to be in the normal world for more than three hours at a time and cannot stay in the same place for more than an hour."
And it is never ever ever explained why, with all that money, Rapunzel can't purchase a glamour from the residents of Floor 13 to make her hair look the same length all the time. These are the same guys who produced the (expensive) glamours that make security guy Grimble (a troll) and butler Hobbes (a goblin) look completely like harmless humans.
Edited by Candi Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI have cut examples claiming Buffy, Willow, and Harmony from Buffy The Vampire Slayer had waist-length hair, for being completely untrue.
Hide / Show RepliesSo what is the absolute cut-off for Rapunzel Hair? By this I mean what is the absolute minimum hair length that a character must have in order to qualify as having Rapunzel Hair?

You have nothing to be proud about!I agree that Buffy and Willow never had hair that long (though Buffy had a fairly long braid when we see her as an alternate universe/dark future Buffy), but Harmony DID indeed have waist-length hair in pretty much ever appearance. Cordelia also had an amazingly thick and full mane of waist-length hair at one point on the 'Angel' series... which must have been a pain to deal with, as she hacked it off to a short bob style soon thereafter.
EDIT—Whoops. Okay, having taken a sec to google Harmony, she seems to have cut it back to middle-back length after season two of Buffy. Still, waist-length for the first two seasons.
