Question. Is this trope about actual monsters that are prehistoric or depicting prehistoric creatures as overscary? You see, I thought it was supposed to be the former, but there's a lot more of the latter. If it's both or the latter, I suggest we split the trope in two.

Then add the trope.
Reviewing movies is a lot like Paleontology: The Evidence is there...but no one seems to agree upon it.
Cut out the Truth about Killer Dinosaurs example because the justification given isn't an example of the trope.
