DX in an interesting case. In the case of the (real) novel The Man Who Was Thursday and the (in-game) novel Jacob's Shadow it seems to take the 'you only read an excerpt' approach, with several copies of the books spread through the game, each one giving a different snippet. In many other cases the reading material is things like news articles that are perhaps only slightly shorter than a real one might be, and appear in their entirety. (If I recall)
Surely Deus Ex is a prime example. "Doesn't like to read" indeed.
