Does Monk really have a Myth Arc? While Trudy Monk was mentioned constantly, it was more of a character trait of Adrian's than an ongoing plotline. Weren't there only about five episodes across eight whole seasons that actually had anything to do with solving that case (as opposed to roughly a third of the entire series for The X Files or three quarters of the series for the Doctor Who revival)?
I suppose the point is, I don't feel like anyone would describe Monk as "that show about the neurotic detective looking for his wife's killer" (which would indicate a Myth Arc) instead of "that show with the neurotic detective solving weird cases."

"Entire series" is a tall order and one that, frankly, many examples fail if we take this literally. Shouldn't we somewhat redefine this as covering a majority of the series or which were originally meant to cover it? For example, The Mentalist's myth arc ends halfway through season 6 and then there's a season and a half of show left, but no one would fail to consider it a proper example.
