I'm wondering if we need to revisit this. One thing I'm noticing is that "red lipstick is evil" on shows lately. The most obvious is Supergirl, where whenever Lena Luthor is wearing deep red lipstick, it's when she's being evil. More recently, I saw Cruella, and Estella wears no lipstick, but Cruella wears the deep red lipstick. I'm not sure if this is "Makeup Is Evil" or "Putting on the Beard" (female version).
