"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm seeing this trope used a lot to describe the devil living on Earth, disguised as a human. Is this enough or does he have to have a name that sounds like Lucifer or Beelzebub etc.?
Would Light Yagami from Death Note come under this?
It's funny looking back at things you used to like and seeing which tropes they come under. Hide / Show RepliesI looked up the business card scene from American Psycho to see if I missed anything, but saw nothing. Since neither this page, nor the work page states American Psycho uses this trope, the image is a probably an edit. Since the card is on a wooden table, this still must be from the business card scence. Judging from the positioning of the finger, this is most likely an edited version of Timothy Bryce's card (which mentions Mergers and Aquisitions). This thing is totally believable though, 10/10 hoax. I'll add a note to this image later. (There's probably a trope for this)
TLDR: Fake, but cool.
Why isn't this called Lou Cipher? Not TRS-ing this yet, but "Louis Cipher" isn't as well-known an alias as Alucard or similar names.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. Hide / Show RepliesI just wonder, who is the trope namer for this? Some sources point me towards Louis Cypher but I ain't sure.
Hide / Show RepliesThe page says it's https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Film/AngelHeart
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I don't understand why Deuce, Thorn, or Georgia are names for the devil. I only figured out Nick, Scratch, and Lucy:( after checking wikipedia. Could someone tell me the meaning of the first 3 I listed?
Will I be informed if people reply to my discussion post?what if it is someone who has nothing to do with demons, devils, or the like doing something like this with there name. like peter plankton from spongebob
Ulquiorra made me think: Ul-qui-o-rra Ci-fer— The "rr" can be mistakenly romanized as "l" —Ul-qui-o-la Ci-fer— la-ci-fer— The other way of pronouncing Lucifer Pronounciation: 1. loose if fur 2. luss if fur— Then you can find Lucifer in his name —uLqUiorra CIFER— And I could keep ranting about Ulqi-nii being the incarnation of evil, but I won't. Because this was accidental. I hope.
