This is one of my least favourite tropes. Being 13, I have decent memories of being 12 and 11, and even 8. Truth be told, I acted mature, by the media's idea of a child. When I turned 11, I started getting interested in girls, and, by 12, erm, you know what. Sandra And Woo is surprisingly accurate in how kids behave. South Park is, as well.
