This trope is missing an explaination, why it is called Jive Turkey.

I'm also confused, because is the Jive Turkey the person who speaks jive? I thought "turkey" was an insult roughly equivalent to "square" for someone who isn't "with it." then again "jive" can frequently be slang for "nonsense/lies" so... this is the problem with inarticulate inner city dwellers.
How does this trope ever contrast to Totally Radical?
