I think that it fits Unsuspectingly Soused
Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryYYZ: I don't understand the difference between this and Mushroom Samba - they both involve accidental ingestion of mind-altering substances.
Kendra Kirai: I believe that the difference is that with the Intoxication Ensues we only see how the characters act. With the Mushroom Samba, we see what the characters themselves see.
This happened on an episode of ER—a nurse ate some LSD-laced chocolates. I can't remember which episode, which nurse, or whether it was LSD or something else. Somebody help?
That Other 1 Dude: That thing about Sokka falls under Mushroom Samba, so being on this page is kind of redudant.
Aquillion: A discussion over whether or not to rename this trope is underway here.
Removed second Six Feet Under example, which is already listed under Mushroom Samba.
I was reading the scanlation of "Pastel" Manga this weekend, and it happens at least twice over the 100 chapters that a characters gets 'accidentically drunk' by drinking beer instead of juice.
Now that made me wonder how exactly one can drink enough of beer to get drunk before you realize that it's not juice? I might understand better if it was a cocktail, but my experience dictactes there's a big difference between the sweetness of fruits and the bitterness of beer (or are beers that different in Japan).
Wonder if that fits this trope or is it a completely different one.
