A proposed interpretation of this trope could be that they're "Schrodinger's Keys". They're retroactively the key to the door you find, and are thus no longer interchangeable.

It probably does not have that name because of snowclone problems (there are many tropes named after Schroedinger).

"whenever you use a key to open a door, the key, the lock, and sometimes even the entire door will disappear, right before your eyes "
But doesn't this solve the problem if the whole door evaporates? Am i missing a point here?

Whats up with the number of aversions here? Dont see the point, since this trope is not to common.
GAME OVER
Would it be a Justified Trope, Parodied Trope, or just Played for Laughs if breaching charges serve the same purpose, gameplay wise, as keys that would qualify for this trope?
I ask because in Payday 2, you can use shaped charges to bypass most locked doors...
There are also the keycards that fit any keycard reader, but that's much more boring than counting shaped charges...
