One thing to note about Eldritch Abominations is that many of them - or at least a fair amount of the entries in that section - are very much malicious, meaning there can be overlap between the two tropes. The Eldritch Abomination page even states that " They are often used as a Greater-Scope Villain, Outside-Context Villain, Mad God, Evil God or Sealed Evil in a Can."
