You answered your own question by comparing two prominent atheists (one of them having been murdered along her family, no less) to a rapist and a dictator. That is exactly why we don't allow real-life examples.
But, really, if you want an actual answer it's because real-life doesn't have a narrative (as far as we know, anyway) and as such no one can be considered an antagonist or villain. Plus, it would just create unnecessary flame wars and nobody likes that.

The following example was previously in the Web Original folder on this page. Unfortunately, it gives no indication of what work it is from. If someone can figure this out, the example can be moved back to the main page.
- Mister Darrow, the great-uncle of Carmilla (on her mother's side). When he's not wearing alien power armor and killing innocent bystanders as The Necromancer, he's a decrepit old man. With deadly magical abilities. Carmilla's late mother was partly descended from The Deep Ones, and even she didn't like him.
Why No Real Life Examples on this page, if Real Life examples were allowed, I would add,
