Deleted the following from the Film example The Man with the Golden Gun. Not only was it Natter, but it violated Example Indentation as well.

  • Well, actually, that's an inversion. Firstly, he wasn't absent- he watched the whole thing on camera, and was manipulating Scaramanga's playhouse to torment Bond for amusement, then got worried when Bond managed to escape from viewpoint. And secondly, he wasn't out to avenge his master- he was supposed to inherit Scaramanga's island upon his death, and Scaramanga even let Nick Nack hire hitmen to kill him to that end, since Scaramanga liked to test his skills. In other words, he's pissed at Bond for destroying his inheritence.

Revenge of the Meta Knight has a pretty clear set up for this, but ti isn't fullfilled. Kirby never even meets that Big Bird Guy who was serving as The Dragon.

For LOTR Saurman is much more the Text Book case of those 2. In fact probably the Codifier of the Trope.

I didn't understand the pun in the title at all until the potholed sentence explaining it, and then I had to think about it a bit before I got it, and it's still bad. Can we please rename this?

I actually agree for renaming the title, but for a different reason: When I first saw "Dragon their Feet", I thought it was the equivalent to Big Bad Wannabe, in the sense that a particular villain is assumed to be The Dragon, when he really isn't.

Maybe we could change it to Dragon Absentee?

I agree. "Dragon Absentee" sounds way better.
