- Notable as someone made an actual game based off of this creepypasta, although it isn't a hacked ROM but a game created in Game Maker. It faithfully recreates the game experiences of the original, and then expands upon the content through help of the author. It's strongly suggested that one play the game first and then read the original, since the original creepypasta is effectively one big spoiler for the game. Available here.

- The Untitled Fantendo Story sorta fits this, especially in the "real life" chapters. Has a much happier ending, since the author did not write it intending for it to be creepypasta-like.
- Zeddicker Casefiles: a serial blog that seems fairly new but is updated regularly. It combines the Hardboiled Detective genre with dark fantasy. Not as nightmare inducing as some of the other links here, but it's really meant to be a paranormal detective story. That said, some elements of Nightmare Fuel are scattered throughout.
- This amazon review claims that the television cables will create voices in an ancient language and cause widespread chaos.
There should really be a rule that entries have to link to the stories they're referencing. Some of these can be legitimately tricky to find...
Uh, that one about “the patient that nearly made me quit medicine” has been deleted. Do any of you know if it’s archived anywhere? It was one of my favourites, too.
I tried to find the "Blue Shell" creepypasta. However, I cannot find it. Does it actually exist?
Can I ask why the page is edit-locked?
Now everyone pat me on the back and tell me how clever I am!Can a Creepypasta be mixed in with Tearjerker and still be good? I'm surprised there's no tab for that.
I think there's at least one famous story that might have even been a Creepypasta of the Month about some ghost or something, and the comments section was actually filled with people who liked it but thought it was more sad than creepy.
Ironically, there was a Regular Show one where at least one person commented that a dark story that's more than sad than creepy shouldn't be posted on the site, but whatever. :p
"Hell exists not to punish sinners, but to ensure that nobody sins in the first place." - Eikishiki Yamaxanadu (Touhou) Hide / Show RepliesAh nevermind, they were moved to the Heartwarming section instead.
Shouldn't Doors be sadder than heartwarming though?
"Hell exists not to punish sinners, but to ensure that nobody sins in the first place." - Eikishiki Yamaxanadu (Touhou)The name comes from "Copypasta". Okay then.
Anyone care to share with dumb ol' me what this "copypasta" thing is and how copying something is related to noodles?
Hide / Show RepliesAnd I think Copy & Paste/ Copypasta refers to Memetic Mutation of the kind where you send mass emails about a funny quote or cool picure. Just general passing around of stuff.
So then Creepypasta means Creepy C&P? Makes sense. A lot of stories start off with saying they just had to write the story down somewhere which they might have already done beforehand somewhere else, and many creepypastas are not OP.
I didn't really get it either. ^^;
So paste sounds like pasta...? Alright then. :p
"Hell exists not to punish sinners, but to ensure that nobody sins in the first place." - Eikishiki Yamaxanadu (Touhou)Hmmm... what would the opposite of Creepypasta be?
Christians of all nations, unite! Hide / Show RepliesEh, I'm not sure, but Creepypasta is meant to be Nightmare Fuel and some of those are Dark Fics, right?
I guess the opposite of that would just be a Sweet Dreams Fuel thing instead, probably a WAFF (Warm and Fuzzy Feeling) fic. :p
"Hell exists not to punish sinners, but to ensure that nobody sins in the first place." - Eikishiki Yamaxanadu (Touhou)I deleted "Cupcakes" and "Story of the Blanks" because they're just plain old DarkFics. A creepypasta has to at least TRY to pass itself as real or plausible.
Hide / Show RepliesThose two things are different? :?
To me, a Dark Fic may or may not be a subsection of Creepypasta. The wiki itself at least has all sorts of categories, various types of shows and video games being used for Dark Fic.
"Hell exists not to punish sinners, but to ensure that nobody sins in the first place." - Eikishiki Yamaxanadu (Touhou)Can I remove Cherrilee's Garden from the works list? It's good and all, but I don't we can start just calling all Grimdark fics Creepypasta.
Wow, looks like one of the admins of the Pasta wiki in One Of Us, Fur Bearing Brick has made 139 edits to the page.
Can we please have a "Worm Jeff Saga" series page? When is "critical mass to deserve its own works page" reached?
There's so many tropes with single examples referring only to the Worm Jeff Saga that it looks bad. There's literally tons of creepypasta out there, so either we add some examples from others or we just move those to their own page.
Worm Jeff Saga IS a work and not a genre/category, so giving it its own page would be fine.
Edited by JProllz Specialty: Laser Guided Spellchecks on blatant misspellings. No that's not a trope. Can whoever keeps listing this as a work please quit? Lord Of The Rings is a work. Literature is not a work. Candle Cove is a work. Creepypasta is not a work. Get it?
"If you want to be the best, baby, you've got to work harder than anybody else." Hide / Show RepliesIt's being treated as a genre, like Country Music or Metal so it gets listed as a work.
Edited by shoboniCan we add the now defunct Monolith Forums as a Wretched hive on the YMMV tab? They got so bad the site owner themselves jumped ship and let them die.
Edited by shoboniWhat's the deal with this page? the Nightmare Fuel page doesn't link to it anymore. And there's no YMMV page, either.
...not sure what to put here, really. Hide / Show RepliesThe page type was changed from "work" to "trope". I've reverted that, since there is a trope list rather than an example one. Should be fixed now.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
For those unaware, there's a cleanup thread for creepypasta. To quote Tropes Needing TRS:
So one of the pressing issues that I'm tackling bit by bit is this page's troping of individual, related works. But I'd like others to be aware of this issue and hopefully help move individual examples to their own pages as well. I'm making this post to request for feedback on one sentence that I'd like to add to the end of the page's description. Thank you.
