As the guy who launched this trope, I wouldn't count someone who burns to death in a burning house as Cooked to Death.
I admit that the distinction between what is and what isn't a "cooking device" is not always crystal-clear, though. So I don't think that every example must absolutely involve a literal cooking implement, but I do think the way of death must at least be evocative of the cooking the food.
Let's just say and leave it at that.
Does this include examples where they weren't "cooked" in an oven or something intended for cooking? (i.e. being deliberately locked in a burning house)
