Should creatures that obviously aren't any Real Life species be in the examples for nonrealistic eyes? I mean, they evolved on a different planet.

Also, in the case of "missing scleras": There's a possibility that the animals do have scleras but they're just normally not showing. Rabbit scleras are usually hidden under their eyelids, their irises are that big. It'd be weirder to see a rabbit drawn with visible scleras.
