- Danny Phantom One of the quirks of Vlad Masters character is that he wants to purchase the Green Bay Packers and move them to Amity Park. He is unable to though despite being a Billionaire (with a capital B) and having amassed his fortune by robbing banks and overshadowing people to sell their businesses to him. The reason this is Artistic License is two fold. First, according to Forbes, the Green Bay Packers are only worth 2.85 billion dollars, which is not even in the top 25 most valuable franchises. As a multibillionaire, Vlad can more than afford buying the Packers all on his own with at most a sizable dent in his income. Second, the Packers is the only professional sports franchise owned by the fans rather than a singular owner or an ownership group. As he has overshadowed people before and he can independently purchase a share, all he has to do is overshadow enough people to sell him their shares until he owns a majority.
There's no artistic license here. Just because Vlad has the capital to buy any team he wanted, it doesn't mean he'd be able to. Especially not the Packers, since the team bylaws state that shares can only be sold back to the team, itself. Even if Vlad overshadowed the right people to allow him to buy enough shares from the team itself to take over, the NFL would step in and void any such deal. Not to mention transfer of ownership and team movement would require a 3/4th majority of the other team owners (22 of 31) to vote in favor. The team and the league can simply say "no" to Vlad.

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.A thought regarding the Daredevil entry (re: Boxing and Jack Murdock's record/notoriety) It's possible that the mob's influence would result in Jack getting fights against more prestigious opponents than any journeyman would normally get (in fact, it's explicitly stated in Episode 2 that the mob set up the fight). In addition, the fact that the betting lines were on Jack "going the distance" as opposed to losing outright would justify paying him to take the dive. Matt says in his confession in Episode 1 that his dad never got knocked out (TKO'd sure, but he always beat the 10-count). So Jack was *expected* to lose as he usually does, but on points instead of dropping in the 5th round.
Removed this from the Election Year Knockout entry:
Most pro boxing authorities don't have age limits. If you can find a willing opponent and pass a pre-fight physical, most authorities will let you fight.
Secondly, the statement itself is false even if age limits were in place. George Foreman was 45 when he re-captured the unified heavyweight title in 1994. Bernard Hopkins was 46 when he won the WBC light heavyweight belt in 2011.
