The definition of the trope here is a bit muddled. It explicitly refers to Tolkien, but classifies the trope as the intent of the author making his work a certain way or declaring that the reader should make up a theme. Tolkien's applicability, however, is just a quality of a work, in that it is or happens to be applicable/comparable to many things or issues.

Pulled this. Without further elaboration, the mere mention that someone supposedly suggested that Moby Dick represents the Republic of Ireland is a Zero Context Example.
- So... is there anything Moby-Dick doesn't represent? We at least know the whale is the Republic of Ireland.
Let's just say and leave it at that.
