Just for some clarity about castration VS penectomy. Castration is removal of the testicles (or ovaries). Penectomy is the removal of the penis. Riki got a penectomy. His balls are still intact. He does say he's like Katze but in the sense that they have both lost genitalia. After re-reading the novel, I'm still not clear of which of these Furniture receive if it's not both.
