Dragonball Super seems poised to retell Battle of Gods and Ressurection of Frieza, so what does this do to the cannon of the movies?
I asked in head scratchers and must have phrased it poorly since the answer I got was basically "decide for yourself." But it seems like everybody agrees that while fun none of the DBZ movies are supposed to be cannon. The four exceptions being debatably some version of Dead Zone is necessary for Garlic Jr, Goku and his friends return introduces Vegeta's brother who is mentioned in Battle of Gods retroactively making it cannon. Battle of Gods and Ressurection of Frieza seem to be agreed to be official cannon. (Seemingly officially knocking GT out of continuity)
However since Dragon Ball Super is going to retell those are those movies now. . .basically abridged and anything in Super supercedes the movies if they conflict?
