Metroids? We know what they are, how they work, and where they came from. Not everything they do makes sense but they are too well documented to be eldritch abominations. The X parasite we don't know the exact origins of but they hardly seem mysterious enough to be Eldritch. The Ing should be disqualified just on familiarity. There are many of them with an intricate hierarchical society. Any reason why I shouldn't remove these? As it is, Metroid has three examples, which hardly seems like enough for its own page.

Eldritch Abomination is frequently misused for "freaky being". A lot of these examples read as such. So delete away, yeah.

Metroids definitely don't count. We know... pretty much everything about them. The only thing even vaguely qualifying is that they're... weird? Starfish Alien does not an Eldrich Abomination make.

However, the X work for me. Here's what we know about the X: They're mysterious, they take things over, they copy, and they run rampant, taking the form of the dead and all.
