I seem to remember the Man having a sumo wrestler/judo master nakama as well as Lothar. Or was that just an illusion?

Nope, you're thinking of Hojo, who is a huge Japanese guy and Lothar's only real rival as World's Strongest Man. Hojo is nominally the chef at Xanadu, but this is just a cover story — he's actually the top secret head of Inter-Intel (basically Interpol)
