After thinking about it, I'm honestly not sure what race Clem is, but either way it's not an example. As it states in the trope description, black characters who are shown to be just as relevant as their white counterparts don't count (not to mention Sarah isn't white either).
For the same reason. Lee is actually the main character of Season 1, not Kenny's sidekick.
