When Trunks comes out of the Time chamber with his dad, does it actually count as character development? He still acts the same with Goku and Bulma and the others, and his willingness to let Vegeta show off isn't different from when he stayed on the sidelines when he fought 18 (due to 17's threat to get involved and Trunks fear of them). The relationship between Trunks and Vegeta changes between them, but both actually stay the same
